Although we have paid a deposit and the airfare, there is still a lot to do and plan. So more research on places to see, and must do whilst in Honolulu. As I said in my previous post we will be there for 6 days and I am coming to the realisation that it may be a bit short, but it will be an excuse to return.
I have found a tour that I am extremely excited about, and I will be doing on my own. Will advise you of the details once I have confirmation. We have all placed Pearl Harbor at the top of our itinerary, so I downloaded some tours for our friends to read through. (A large variety, as I understand and appreciate we all have different ideas/likes.
It will be interesting to see if we all pick the same tours, not that it matters if we don't. It will be only the second time that mum and I will be traveling with another couple/trio, the first was a package which included the historic and tourist sites in China.
I like to prepare and be organised, so have created a timetable of the dates we are away, including times and have entered flights etc. I did this for our European holiday and it was extremely helpful especially when I entered reminders of what we needed to do the day before.
It was also handy to see if tours would clash or if we needed to allow more time for delays. Some would probably call this obsessive, but I'd rather be on the plane or train than miss it. We had a great time in Europe, it wasn't like I had everything timed to minute intervals, we only had one near miss. Should've booked the taxi the night before. Lesson learned.
Bye for now.

I must admit that I am just a little nervous about my first post. But here I go.
I first discovered that I love to travel a long time ago.
I have been fortunate enough to travel more in the past three years than previously, with destinations that were I must admit not overly high on my wishlist.
Now onto my heading of Honolulu here I come.
I have spent a long time researching the best options for our next cruise holiday, with the timing and duration a priority. I had found the right combination of both, then I had to make sure my Annual leave was approved. And of course I consulted my traveling companion, my wonderful mum/best friend. We then contacted our travel agent to book.
Whilst I had been doing the research, mum had been speaking to the dad of a childhood friend. Her mum was on the phone to mum quickly to find out where were going and that they were interested in joining us.
So in September we will be flying to Honolulu for a six day stay before boarding the Radiance of the Seas Cruise ship on its voyage back to Sydney, Australia. I will follow up with more information in the next day or so.
Goodnight for now
